Exercise takes too much time

core strength short consistent workouts Feb 28, 2023

One aspect of exercise that many people don’t like is the time required to get fit, or even to impact your health.  But does it always have to take so much time?  Let me be clear, if you want to get your body in super good shape, it will take plenty of time to get there.  But, that doesn't necessarily mean that you have to do long workouts.

If you really don’t like to exercise or don't have much free time to exercise, you can still impact your body with short, CONSISTENT workouts.  And on the topic of workout length, long workouts do still require significant time and consistency to get into better shape.  It just won't take as many long workouts as short, comparatively.

In the end, though, it is really good news that you can impact your health without doing long workouts.  As long as you do some exercise most days.  So the clear next question is, what should I do for exercise?

Everyone should do some strength training and we recommend that you start with (or include) the muscles of the torso.  The torso is responsible for much of the body’s structure, shape and movement.  So it’s important that they have the strength to do all that.  When our muscles are weak and inactive, they can’t do their jobs.

It’s worth spending a few minutes exercising most days of the week.  After all, what will you do if your body stops working?
